Academy Lunches

As you are aware, the current pandemic has required us to make a number of changes to the way we are able to deliver lessons in the year bubbles that are required to reduce any risk in the spread of the virus. One of the changes is the loss of the canteen space as this is now required as a learning area. As a result of this, children wishing to purchase a meal at school will have to pre-order their lunch in the morning. Lunches will be delivered to the year base areas where they will be collected to be eaten outside in their year areas, unless it is a wet break day when they will remain in their year base areas indoors.

At lunchtime we encourage children to have an Academy meal. These are cooked on site and are nutritionally balanced. We always offer a choice including vegetarian and Halal - menus are available below.

Our catering is managed by Sodexo, a professional company offering nutritious breakfasts,mid-morning breaktime snacks, and a lunches to our students.  A set lunch costs £2.40 per day with menus rotated on a four week basis.  Students entitled to free school meals do not pay for lunch. Your child may be entitled to a free school meal every day.

Alternatively children may bring a packed lunch. We ask parents and carers providing packed lunches to choose healthy options with a balanced selection of food including fruit and vegetables, juice and/or water. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school each day which can be refilled at our fountains.

For information on how you can pay for your child's Academy lunches please see our Parent Pay page.
