Academy students invite NHS foundation trust for discussion on health services

Students engage in meaningful discussion regarding youth health services

On Wednesday 27th April, Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey students spent time giving their insights into NHS services including discussing how best to communicate health messages to their age group. The discussion included questions like, 'Where do you go to find help/advice?'

Juliette Wales (Engagement and Partnership Manager) and Peter Norton (Whole School Approach Practitioner) from Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, worked alongside the students to support their goal of improving and developing services for young people.

“We were so impressed with how engaged the young people were throughout the session and want to thank them for their helpful thoughts and ideas. We’re really looking forward to continue working with the pupils at Oasis academy in the future on other topics.”

Well done to all students who represented our academy on this morning, and thank you to the NHS team for joining us. It was fantastic to hear your thoughts and listen to each other's ideas on future health services for young people.
