Update to provision location July 2021
We are proud that this year has seen a rise in the number of Year 6 children who have received places at our academy for the next academic year and delighted that the academy is increasingly the school of choice for more families.
Whilst this is very positive news for our school community, it means we have been carefully considering how best to utilise Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey’s two campuses to create the best learning environments for every student. This is part of a longer-term plan as we anticipate continued growth of the Academy over the coming years.
In order to accommodate the number of students, it has been decided that Year 7 students will be taught on our Sheerness Campus next year, in the newly refurbished Brabazon building, whilst students in Years 8-11 will continue to be taught on the Minster Campus.
This change will allow us to teach all children in an excellent educational environment, by specialist staff, without the need for children to travel between sites during the school day. It also means our Year 7 students will be starting their journey into secondary education in a state-of-the-art building consisting of over twenty classrooms, specialist teaching spaces and extensive playing fields and sports facilities.
These are exciting times for the academy, and we look forward to welcoming the new intake of students in September.
