Careers Plan: Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey 2018-19

All students at Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey receive careers information and advice via our mentoring programme and additional career activities in school.  Students are supported to explore the different pathways available to them in their next steps at both Year 8, 11 and 13.

Evaluation of the careers plan via destinations data

The effectiveness of our plan is evaluated by KS4 and KS5 destinations data released by DfE each year.  The most recent published data on destinations is for 2016. This data shows that 82% of our Year 11 students remained in full-time education or training.  The NEET figure for Year 11 was 18%. In 2016 88% of our Year 13 students remained in education or began employment.  The NEET figure for Year 13 was 12%
