Evaluation of our careers plan

We review our Career Guidance programme every academic year with appropriate changes made in conjunction with DfE Guidance as well as student feedback and destination data.

We also use the Compass tool – an on-line self-evaluation tool to assess how our careers support compares against the Gatsby Benchmarks and the national average.  We also work with The Careers and Enterprise Company.

Destinations data

The effectiveness of our plan is also evaluated by KS4 and KS5 destinations data released by DfE each year.  The most recent published data on destinations is for 2016. This data shows that 82% of our Year 11 students remained in full-time education or training.  The NEET figure for Year 11 was 18%. In 2016 88% of our Year 13 students remained in education or began employment.  The NEET figure for Year 13 was 12%
